Super Eagles interim coach Agustine Eguavoen has called Atalanta forward Ademola Lookman a "world-class" player.
Lookman has carried over his success from the previous season into the new one with his club Atalanta.
The winger has scored two goals and provided two assists in his first four games of the season for Atalanta.
The 26-year-old is the only African player in the running for the men's Ballon d'Or after being on a very successful run for both club and country.

Eguavoen praises Lookman
Eguavoen believes the 2017 FIFA U20 World Cup winner have always been world-class players who can still improve.
According to Allnigeriasoccer, the Super Eagles interim coach said, "Not only this year, Ademola Lookman has always been an enterprising player from his youth level in England, and all of that, I am not surprised. If you are surprised, I am not surprised.
"He is still very young, he is still got a lot of progress ahead of him. So I think he's got everything that it takes to be a world (class) player and he is proving that."
Lookman scored three goals, assisted one, and was nominated to the Team of the Tournament for his efforts, which helped the Super Eagles go to the last AFCON final.
He will want to maintain his success by assisting the Super Eagles in their victory over the Mediterranean Knights at Godswill Akpabio Stadium, which would extend their winning streak in the AFCON qualifying.
