Olympic gold medalist Tara Davis-Woodhall and her husband Hunter Woodhall may have dominated the track in 2024 but off the field, their playful relationship continues to capture fans’ hearts.

The couple, who both won their first Olympic gold medals at the Paris Olympics this year, recently shared a lighthearted moment on social media, revealing an unexpected childhood dream of Davis-Woodhall’s.

In a video posted to her Instagram, Davis-Woodhall shared a glimpse of her downtime at the beach, capturing dolphins in the distance and reminiscing about her younger self’s ambition.

"Can you believe dolphins were my favorite animal? Why did I give that up? Like, just a kid living her dream, wanna be a dolphin trainer," the 25-year-old long jump champion said.

Reacting to her revelation, Hunter Woodhall humorously commented under the video: "Olympic Champion❌ Dolphin trainer✅," a playful nod to his wife’s incredible athletic achievements and her forgotten childhood aspirations.

This candid moment follows the couple’s extraordinary year, where they both etched their names into Olympic history.

At the Paris Games, Davis-Woodhall triumphed in the long jump event, leaping an impressive 7.10 meters to claim her first gold medal.

She edged out defending champion Malaika Mihambo, whose performance earned her the silver medal. Meanwhile, Woodhall made headlines with his breathtaking 400m T62 race, clocking in at 46.36 seconds to secure his own gold medal.

The couple’s post-Olympic life has been just as eventful.

Weeks after their historic victories, Davis-Woodhall began her new role as assistant track and field cross-country coach at Kansas State University, embarking on the next chapter of her career while still celebrating her athletic triumphs.

Despite their busy schedules, the pair found time to unwind at the beach, where Davis-Woodhall’s video brought her followers closer to her personal reflections.

Davis-Woodhall and Woodhall’s love story began at a high school track meet in 2017, blossoming into a deep connection that led to their marriage in October 2022.

Their dynamic chemistry and humor were also on full display recently at the GQ Men of the Year 2024 award ceremony, where they graced the red carpet in style.
