Newly promoted Uganda Premier League side Kitara FC finally unveiled hugely sought after striker Denis Omedi from Booma FC in the second division.

While it's rare to reveal monies involved in transfer business in Uganda, Booma came clean to reveal how much Kitara had to part with, to sign Omedi who was still under contract.

"Our Captain Omedi has left the Club to join New UPl entrants Kitara FC. The transfer has been in the margin of Ugx.25 Millions with add ons amounting to 30 million," a Monday statement from Booma revealed.

"We take the Opportunity to thank you for the leadership, character and the sweet memories," they bid Omedi farewell having signed a two-year contract at his new home.

Omedi was excellent with Booma FC last season, accumulating 22 goals, which was the most of any player in the top two divisions of Ugandan football.

With this prolificness, Omedi is likely to prove a nightmare of sorts to a host of topflight backlines come next season.

Before his spell with Booma, he previously featured for Water, Sporting United and Amuka Bright Stars, all of which trade in the lowly divisions.
