Ahead of the 2026 World Cup qualifier clash, Stanley Nwabali has stated that South Africa's Bafana Bafana are not on the same level as the Super Eagles.
He acknowledged the prospect of playing in front of the Nigerian fans has given him goosebumps and he can't wait.
“Yeah, it’s going to be a great day for me, I wouldn’t say it’s going to be a tough game for me.
“I am the kind of guy who really thrives playing in front of these fans. It gives me enough motivation and energy to do very well in the upcoming game,” he told Super Eagles Media.

We are not under pressure - Nwabali
The Super Eagles goalkeeper added that the team is not under pressure, assuring fans the team is fully prepared to secure the desired outcome in the match against South Africa.
He said, “There’s no pressure, we take it one game at a time. We’re trying to pull together and win the game against South Africa before moving on to our next game against Benin Republic in Ivory Coast. I don’t think there’s any pressure in the camp. As you can see, the players here are training very hard and pushing themselves.”
It is expected that coach Finidi George will give Stanley Nwabali the nod to start in goal ahead of in-form Udinese shot-stopper Maduka Okoye on Friday, June 7th, when Nigeria face South Africa.
