Palmer's celebration is connected to his reputation for coolness under pressure in front of goal but Aston Villa forward Morgan Rodgers claims it was stolen from him.
Aston Villa forward Morgan Rogers now claims Chelsea sensation Cole Palmer stole the iconic 'Cold' celebration from him.
Palmer, who made history last weekend by becoming the first player to score four Premier League goals in the first half, has used the 'Cold' celebration after his 42.5 million pounds move from Manchester City to the Blues ahead of the 2023-24 season.
The 22-year-old has pulled out his trademark celebration on a regular basis, as his 'shiver' or 'cold' pose has become a regular feature for Chelsea, which involves him rubbing his hands over his arms.
Palmer's celebration is connected to his reputation for coolness under pressure in front of goal.
Morgan Rogers, however, thinks the Chelsea talisman, who he described as his good friend, said Palmer ran with his celebration and he'll let him have it. When asked if Cole Palmer stole his celebration by TNT Sports, he said, "Yeah, it's true. He's a cheeky boy isn't he? He's run with it "
Rogers, who is enjoying playing football under Villa coach Unai Emery added: "I'll let him have it. He's scored 40 goals or something stupid, I can't really argue with that can I?"
Morgan Rogers has been a mainstay in the Aston Villa side that is enjoying renaissance under the Spanish coach.
He has formed a formidable partnership with Ollie Watkins and the deadly duo is the reason Villa have won their opening two Champions League matches. Villa are fifth in the Premier League with 13 points.
