Napoli coach Luciano Spalletti has lauded Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen for his goal against Roma
Napoli head coach Luciano Spalletti has showered Victor Osimhen with praises for his performance against Roma in a 2-1 win.
The Nigerian striker scored the opening goal after 17 minutes in spectacular fashion which wowed everyone including his coach.
The goal is Osimhen's 14th in 16 games in the league this season so far, making him the highest scorer in Serie A and helping Napoli extend their lead at the top of the table to 13 points.

Spalletti applauded Osimhen's performance against Roma while speaking to DAZN in his post-game interview on Sunday.

“We also didn’t give Osimhen the right service, but he did well to find the spaces anyway.” he said in an honest assessment of his team's performance.
Spalletti then spoke in detail about Osimhen's big moment, “there is everything in that goal, technical quality, character to juggle the ball between two defenders, then he hit this rocket into the net, as he really has got a cannon for a foot.“
The Italian coach went on to give kudos the man himself, listing out the 24-year-old's qualities and hailing him as a complete player.

“He has physical strength, accepts the challenge, tracks back to help, is good in the air. He is the complete package,” Spalletti said on Osimhen.
Osimhen goals have put Spalletti's Napoli in pole position to win the 2022/23 Scudetto as they sit 13 points clear at the top of the table.
