Former Super Eagles international has explained that George Finidi is not the right man to lead Nigeria as the head coach.
Jose Peseiro, whose contract expired in February, was replaced by Finidi, who was appointed two months ago.
However, he had a disappointing start to his managerial career for the Super Eagles during the World Cup qualifiers.
The Super Eagles played South Africa to a 1-1 draw at home before losing 2-1 at Benin in World Cup qualifying which led to his resignation.

Duke Udi on Finidi
Duke Udi has stated after Finidi's brief tenure as Super Eagles head coach that the former Enyimba coach lacked managerial abilities.
During an interview with Brila FM, Udi said, “In Finidi’s case, he is a coach but wants to transition into a manager, which will be difficult.
“Finidi is not a manager. He rushed into the position because he wanted the job. But managers are different.”
Udi also mentioned how the Super Eagles no longer scare other teams the way they used to years back.
He continued, “Sometimes when you watch the Super Eagles, they look ordinary. We wonder, with all these superstars we’ve packed, what is happening? Before, even if you beat us, you would sweat.
“We used to thrash Benin four or five to nothing. If the Benin Republic heard we were coming. They were always scared to play us. Now they don’t fear us anymore, despite all our best players.”
Meanwhile, Nigeria fell from 30th to 38th place in the latest FIFA ranking and are edging close to not making the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
