Djed Spence, who has Kenyan roots produced his best performance in Tottenham colours.

Djed Spence put on an eye-catching performance as Tottenham Hotspur returned to winning ways against Manchester United in the English Premier League clash on Sunday evening.

James Maddison was the hero, scoring the only goal that condemned Manchester United to another defeat under Ruben Amorim as Spurs claimed a double over the record Premier League Champions, who only had one experienced player on the bench.

Madison was making a return to action alongside the trio of Brennan Johnson, Wilson Odobert and goalkeeper Guglielmo Vicario, after the quartet missed the last couple of matches because of injuries.

It was Djed Spence who earned all the plaudits with his performance against the Red Devils if his stats are anything to go by, earning the Man of The Match Award after the game.

Spence started the game on the left of Ange Postecoglou's defence alongside Kevin Danso, Ben Davies and Pedro Porro. He dominated his flank with lung-bursting runs to contribute in attacks and also chipped in with important blocks on the other end to keep Spurs' lead intact.

With this dominating performance, perhaps England coach Thomas Tuchel might consider giving Spence a chance in the Three Lions star-studded defense.

Spence was born in England to a Jamaican father and a Kenyan mother, making him eligible to represent one of the three nations. He has yet to make a senior appearance for any senior side and can play for Harambee Stars if he switches nationalities.
