The AFC Leopards Youth team graduate is set to join Dundee United after receiving clearance from the Scottish FA and securing his work permit.

Kenyan international Richard Odada is expected to complete a move to Dundee United after receiving the green light from the Scottish Football Association.

The 23-year-old midfielder is set to sign a two-year deal with the Scottish giants having secured his work permit in a crucial step before the official confirmation of the transfer.

Odada will be joining Dundee United following his departure from Philadelphia Union in a transition made after a loan spell at Danish second-tier side AaB Fodbold.

Despite helping Aalborg secure promotion, his playing time was limited leading the Danish club to decide against triggering the purchase option on his loan deal.

According to Record Sport, the former AFC Leopards youngster will be the second player unveiled by Dundee United this summer, following the acquisition of Jort van der Sande from ADO Den Haag.

In Scotland, Odada will reunite with fellow Kenyan international Jonah Ayunga who currently plays for St. Mirren FC.

This connection is expected to provide a familiar face and added motivation for Odada as he embarks on his new journey in Scottish football.

Reflecting on his time at AaB Aalborg, Odada's stint began on a promising note, with the midfielder featuring regularly for the team.

However, as the season progressed, his playing time diminished.

Nevertheless, Odada managed to score four goals and provide one assist in 22 games across all competitions.
