Harambee Starlets striker Topister Situma has parted ways with Tanzania Women’s Premier League side Simba Queens.

The 30-year-old forward joined in July 2022 on a two-year deal, having been snapped from FKF Women’s Premier League champions Vihiga Queens.

Situma’s arrival at Wekundu wa Msimbazi was met with a lot of fanfare owing to her profile and her contribution to Vihiga in the league where she scooped the Golden Boot award in the 2021/2022 season.

The forward did not feature in any game in Tanzania's top-flight league after she fell down the pecking order under coach Charles Lukula.

“Topister Situma has parted ways with the club on mutual consent. We appreciate her work and wish her all the best,” Simba SC manager Selemani Makanya told Pulse Sports in a phone interview.

“The enterprising striker’s contract was due to end in July next year and both parties have agreed on anearly termination to allow Situma to get more game time elsewhere.”

Situma is an experienced striker having featured for Western Commandos and Kakamega Muslims FC.

Simba Queens is also the home of Harambee Starlets players Jentrix Shikangwa and Corazone Aquino.

Both players will continue to represent the Tanzanian club, while Situma seeks new opportunities to showcase her talent and make a significant impact in the world of women's football.
