Kenya international striker has rejoined former club after stint in China, bringing impressive scoring record and high expectations.

Harambee Starlets striker Jentrix Shikangwa has made a remarkable return to her former team Simba Queens after concluding her stint with Beijing Professional FC in China.

This move marks a significant step in Shikangwa's career as she rejoins the Tanzanian powerhouse on a one-year contract aiming to recapture the magic that previously made her a household name in the Tanzania Women's Premier League.

The dynamic 22-year-old forward, has a history of exceptional performance.

Her journey with Jingtan in July last year came on the heels of a stellar season where she emerged as the top scorer in the Tanzania Women's Premier League, netting an impressive 25 goals. 

The scoring prowess earned her the spotlight, leading to her half-season tenure with Beijing Professional FC.

Reflecting on her past achievements and future prospects, Simba Queens' management expressed high expectations. 

"We believe in Jentrix's ability, and with the help of her colleagues, we believe we will do well and regain the titles we lost last season," the club stated.

The Kenyan international's career has been marked by significant interest from various clubs.

Before rejoining Simba Queens, she was on the radar of South African giants Mamelodi Sundowns Ladies and several clubs from Japan and South Korea.

Shikangwa's previous spell at Simba was nothing short of extraordinary.

Despite the team finishing second in the league to champions JKT Queens, her individual brilliance did not go unnoticed as she was named the Player of the Season. 

Before her adventures abroad, Shikangwa had an impactful spell with Turkish side Fatih Karagumruk. 

However, it was her leadership at Vihiga Queens that truly set her apart, guiding the team to three consecutive FKF Women’s Premier League titles.
