Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes expressed satisfaction with his side’s performance in their 0-0 draw against Manchester City.
Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes expressed no disappointment following his side’s 0-0 draw against Manchester City.
His reaction was unusual given United’s current struggles in the bottom half of the Premier League table, but Bruno Fernandes insisted that holding a strong City side and limiting their scoring chances was a victory in itself.
He admitted that going into the match, they obviously wanted to win and add points but the fact that they traumatised Manchester City was enough reason for him to be satisfied.

“Happy with the performance. Obviously, the result - not the one [we wanted] to win games. And we need points in the league,” Bruno Fernandes said as quoted by the Daily Mail.
“We are aware of that. Obviously, we played against a very good side. I think the game was there for both teams. I think we were a little bit more dangerous.”
He pointed out the few issues that needed rectification going into their next matches but seemingly noted that the players had greatly improved in their style of play.

Mohammed Bajaber advised best European leagues to choose from if he decides to move abroad
Mohammed Bajaber is reported to be attracting interest from clubs abroad and he has been told the most suitable European countries that will not waste his talents.
Bruno Fernandes added that they were the better side and had many scoring opportunities but did not maximise on that. Handling Manchester City in style was also one of the wins Bruno Fernandes observed.
“We created more opportunities. We just need to have more of the killer instinct to get the goals. In the first half, I think we had too many chances, and we had to get one,” Bruno Fernandes added.
“When you play against City, they want to have the ball. They will overload places and sides, and you have to be patient with your pressure. But we did that very well today.
“We were very well organised. But as I said, the killer instinct today was missing a little bit. But we created a lot of chances. That's a good point.”
On his part, Manchester United boss Ruben Amorim insisted that his side has to pull up their socks following their draw.
He said: “Every player can improve, they are here because they showed something at other clubs. They have the quality.
