The 32-year-old midfielder has called fans to come out in their numbers in the next fixture in Muhoroni.

Gor Mahia midfielder Ernest Wendo has called on K’Ogalo supporters to come out in large numbers to support the side ahead of their Football Kenya Federation Premier League clash against Wazito FC.

K’Ogalo are currently on top of the standings and will be looking to extend their lead on Sunday when they take on relegation-threatened Wazito at Muhoroni Stadium.

Speaking ahead of the match, Wendo called supporters to throw their weight behind the team by creating a festive atmosphere in the away game.

“We want the supporters to come and throw their weight behind us to win the game. We know Wazito are fighting for their lives. It is going to be a tough one," he said.

They will make it as difficult as possible for us, and I anticipate them to go toe-to-toe with us.

However, we are confident of winning tomorrow’s (Sunday's) match – and at all costs, we will get the three points for the club,” he added.

Gor Mahia is already preparing for the Sunday clash at Muhoroni Stadium, scheduled to kick off at 3pm.

“As players, our training has been good so far, and we are ready to go for maximum points, and God willing, we will come out with maximum points,” said Wendo.

Gor Mahia have solidified their top spot, having garnered 62 points from 28 games this season.

Their opponents Wazito are sitting in the 17th position on the log with 19 points from the same number of matches.
