Gor Mahia assistant coach aims for a perfect finish in the last three matches of the FKF Premier League.

Gor Mahia assistant head coach Michael Nam has promised a strong finish for the team as they prepare to resume play following an international break.

K'Ogalo is set to face off against Sofapaka in a crucial match at Kenyatta Stadium in Machakos, marking their return to action.

Nam has been vocal about the team's ambitions despite securing the 2023-2024 Football Kenya Federation Premier League (FKF-PL) title early.

"We expect to win all the remaining matches because that's what has been our target. Even though we managed to win the cup with three matches to go, our target was supposed to be 75 points," he stated confidently.

Gor Mahia's impressive campaign saw them clinch the league title on May 18 following a dominant 3-0 victory over relegation-threatened Muhoroni Youth at the SportPesa Arena in Muranga.

This victory propelled K'Ogalo to 67 points, placing them 11 points clear of their closest rivals, Tusker, with just three games left in the season.

Despite the comfortable lead, Nam expressed a clear desire to not only finish the season on a high note but also to meet the pre-season target set by the team.

"So we have not managed to reach the target. That means we have to win the nine points to reach the target of the season," he observed, underscoring the importance of maintaining high standards.

After their upcoming match against Sofapaka, Gor Mahia will face Talanta on June 19, followed by a coronation match against Bidco United on June 23.

Each of these encounters presents an opportunity for K'Ogalo to assert their dominance and achieve the ambitious 75-point mark set at the start of the season.

"Yeah, that's what you want to do. We have to set our standard and of course make a mark that the league for 2023 and 2024, we finish at the 75 points mark," Nam concluded.
