The full-back has refuted reports that he is on his way to Tanzania even after Gor Mahia confirmed the transfer and reportedly received part of the transfer fee.
Gor Mahia right-back Ronney Onyango has reportedly rejected a move to Tanzanian side Singida Black Stars despite the two clubs agreeing to a transfer.
Onyango was reported to be on his way to Tanzania this month after K’Ogalo reached an agreement with the big-spending Tanzanian side with the Kenyan champions said to have received part of the transfer fee.
“The player informed us a few weeks ago that he had agreed terms with Singida and we have been talking to them and indicated that we don’t have a problem letting him go. He will leave this month and join the Tanzanian side,” Ocholla told Mozzart Sport.

Gor Mahia set to lose key defender to Tanzanian moneybags Singida Black Stars
The defender has agreed to join the big-spending Singida Black Stars where he will link up with Kenyan colleagues Elvis Rupia and Joash Onyango.
However, the player has now refuted that he is headed to Singida, saying he rejected the transfer, as he eyes a move elsewhere given his deal with Gor Mahia will expire at the end of this season.
“I am not going to Singida Black Stars, that’s for sure. I turned down the offer to join the team, and that’s my final decision. It’s not up for discussion,” Onyango told Mozzart Sport.
That stance leaves Gor Mahia in a tricky position with the player appearing to strain his relations with the club in what is another off-field issue involving him in recent months.

Gor Mahia penalise Kitara on penalties to bag millions in epic friendly in Siaya
Both sides were awarded millions of shillings by both President William Ruto and Raila Odinga after Gor Mahia edged out the Ugandan outfit on penalties during the Luo Piny festival in Siaya.
Onyango joined Gor Mahia from Wazito FC in 2022 and has won two league titles, becoming a key member of the squad under former coach Johnathan McKinstry.
He had a fall out with former coach Leo Neiva early this season before the Brazilian was sacked but has maintained his place in the team which has also made him a key figure for Harambee Stars.
Onyango is currently on national team assignment with Harambee Stars in Zanzibar for the Mapinduzi Cup but was not involved in the opening match against Burkina Faso on Saturday.
