After a dominant 4-1 victory, Gor Mahia head coach Johnathan McKinstry promises more excitement and excellence for fans in the future.

Gor Mahia head coach Johnathan McKinstry has promised the K’Ogalo faithful that there is still more to come from his players.

In a scintillating performance, Gor Mahia dismantled Nairobi City Stars with a convincing 4-1 victory, leaving fans eager for more.

The match saw Benson Omala netting twice, Rooney Onyango scoring the third, and Austin Odhiambo adding the fourth to the scoreboard.

“We are happy, and we rate ourselves at seven out of ten. There is a lot more to come. I thought we would be more technical today, but we know there are higher levels we can reach,” McKinstry stated in a post-match interview, reflecting on the team's performance.

“Before the match, we told the players that we wanted both a statement result and a statement performance. In our last match, you saw a team with great determination.

"We can go and fight in a difficult environment and come out with three points. Today (Sunday), however, you saw a different type of performance – more passing, more flowing football,” McKinstry added, emphasizing the evolution in their gameplay.

“We delivered about seventy percent of what we are capable of today, but there is definitely more to come.”

Gor Mahia's impressive victory has set high expectations for the team in the upcoming matches.

The dominant display against City Stars showcased the depth of talent within the squad and the ability to adapt to various styles of play.

Looking ahead, Gor Mahia will face a challenging test against Kakamega Homeboyz in their next league game on Sunday at Bukungu Stadium.

McKinstry is well aware of the task at hand and the unique challenges posed by the venue.

“Next, we have an incredibly difficult game against Kakamega Homeboyz. We know that the pitch there is a little bit different, and we will prepare for that game accordingly. We expect a very tough encounter,” McKinstry concluded.
