Gor Mahia midfielder Enock Morrison has categorically stated that he wants to leave a lasting legacy with the record Kenya Premier League champions by continuing to dominate on the title front.

The Ghanaian, one of the best performers against Posta Ranger on Saturday at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos County, rubbished claims of using Gor Mahia as a stepping stone, an aspect that is believed to be the main motivation of why foreign players flock to the KPL.

The visionary player who has been a fresh breath at the middle of the park for K'O Gallo, started in the 3-0 demolition of Rangers in the rain-soaked stadium.

"Gor Mahia can never be a stepping stone. Gor Mahia is too big to be a stepping stone for me. It is a club I want to show what I can do. By showing what I can do, other people and clubs can see my qualities," Morrison, who joined the 21-time KPL champions in July, exclusively revealed to Pulse Sports with a beaming smile.

Regarding the match, the deep-lying playmaker attributed their early struggles to the harsh weather conditions after a sluggish start. Posta Rangers was the better side inside the opening 15 minutes, but Gor swung the match in their favour after scoring the first goal.

"Concerning the game today (Saturday), it was a very difficult match because we didn't start well. We were down but after the first 15 minutes, we began showing our qualities. The weather was not favourable but we can't use that as an excuse. You can start slow, sometimes you start high, it's normal".

Wangai Bryson, Austin Odhiambo and super-sub Gideon Bendeka were on target for the Leo Neiva charges.

After the continental heartbreak, Morrison highlighted two areas of focus for the team. "The focus and determination have been on beating.... that's the focus now and I think the players, coaches and management are aware. Another one is keeping clean sheets for our keepers".
