Gor Mahia Secretary General Sam Ochola is urging for patience from fans after recent incidents of unrest over [oor results.

Gor Mahia Secretary General Sam Ochola wants the team's adoring fans to remain patient as the technical bench crafts a winning formula after a recent dip in form.

The record Kenyan Premier League champions are winless in their last three matches despite starting the season with 4-0 and 3-0 thrashing of Mathare United and Posta Rangers respectively. This has led to unrest within the club.

Last weekend, Gor Mahia surrendered a 2-0 advantage to draw 2-2 with Murang'a Seal. The result saw irate fans storming the pitch and rough up Brazilian coach Leonardo Neiva, in an act that is synonymous with the team especially when results go against them.

Ocholla said the fans need to adapt to the reality that there are three outcomes in a football match.  "I think Gor Mahia fans should give us time, be patient. The issue is that they are used to winning matches and so when they see us losing a game then it catalyzes their reaction," Ocholla told Citizen digital.

Prior to the weekend result, Gor were beaten by City Stars 2-1 in what was Simba Wa Nairobi's first win of the season. On October 23, K'Ogalo mastered a goalless draw against KCB. "We are used to winning and that is maybe the biggest problem that puts us in this difficult situation with fans. Sometimes when we draw or lose then they should know that it’s part of the game and those are the options when you play; you either win, lose or draw," Ochola added.

The fans would expect a reaction from the team when they take on Bandari in their next match. Gor are nine points behind leaders KCB although they have three games in hand.
