The midfielder was named FKF Premier League MVP beating two finalists after leading Gor Mahia to a 21st league title.

Gor Mahia midfielder Austin Odhiambo was feted as the Most Valuable Player (MVP) in a colorful ceremony at Safari Park Hotel on Friday night.

Odhiambo beat his counterpart Rooney Onyango and former Kariobangi Sharks' Mark Makwatta.

The Gor Mahia midfielder had a great season leading his club to win their record 21st FKF Premier League.

His performance earned him a call-up to the Harambee Stars, where he continues to make significant contributions in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Odhiambo's teammates and former coach also scooped awards on a night where outstanding performers were awarded.

The night was further embellished with accolades for other Gor Mahia members, making it a memorable occasion for the team.

Gor Mahia goalkeeper Kevin Omondi took home the Golden Glove award after an outstanding season where he secured 21 clean sheets in 31 matches.

Omondi's contribution was vital in forming the backbone of the team's defense, which conceded only 20 goals throughout the season.

In the scoring department, Gor Mahia's Benson Omala was awarded the Golden Boot for his impressive tally of 19 goals.

After narrowly missing the top scorer title in the previous season, Omala's determination and sharp shooting skills were rightly acknowledged, providing him with a much-deserved moment of redemption.

The coaching accolade went to the former Gor Mahia tactician Johnathan McKinstry who was named Coach of the Year in absentia.

The Northern Irishman who has since taken up the mantle with the Gambia national team, was celebrated for guiding Gor Mahia to another league title with a record of winning 21 matches, drawing 10, and losing just three.

Another highlight of the evening was the Fair Play Award, which was clinched by Shabana for maintaining the best discipline record throughout the season.

Tore Bobe topped the fair play chart with 47 points, followed closely by Gor Mahia and Kariobangi Sharks.

The Referee of the Year award was presented to FIFA whistler Dickens Mimisa, who has been exceptional in handling some of the season's most intense and pivotal matches.

Amid the celebrations of individual and team achievements, Tusker was recognized for its exemplary management of social media, winning the Social Media Manager of the Year award.
