This departure brings an end to a costly spell at Stamford Bridge, with the Blues now set to save a significant £120,000 per week in wages.
RC Lens have secured the signing of Malang Sarr on a free transfer from Chelsea, following the mutual termination of his contract.
The 25-year-old center-back had one year remaining on his deal but will not receive a pay-off for the final year of his wages, which amounted to £120,000 per week.

Malang Sarr finally leaves Chelsea
Sarr joins Lens on a two-year contract with an option for a third year, becoming the club's third summer signing.
Lens general manager Pierre Dreossi welcomed Sarr, saying: "Versatile and with solid European experience, Malang is a player who started very young and whose career has been marked by challenges. Despite the trials, he never gave up and joins Racing today with the firm intention of performing."
Sarr's time at Chelsea was underwhelming, with just 21 first-team games across four years.
He spent the 2020/21 season on loan at Porto, playing 19 matches, and returned to Chelsea for the following season, contributing to the club's Club World Cup victory in December 2021.
