Maroons FC goalkeeper Simon Tamale is determined to fight until the end for the golden glove in the StarTimes Uganda Premier League.
The league debutant has been on top form this season, keeping eleven clean sheets with the recent coming against Gaddafi in Jinja.
Tamale says that he is motivated to work harder by the fact that the golden glove is awarded according to the number of clean sheets one has registered.
“That’s my main source of motivation and inspiration,” he told Pulse Sports.
“I want to be named the best goalkeeper in the league this season and that’s why I work extra hard because I know such fetes can shape my path,” he added.
Tamale has not only seen his side keep clean sheets but has produced some match-defining saves that have earned him several man-of-the-match accolades.
Maroons currently sit fifth on the standings with 37 points, one behind Arua Hill in fourth.
