England defender Marc Guehi has defended his Pastor father for potentially missing the upcoming EURO 2024 clash against Slovakia.
Guehi has been one of the bright spots for England at EURO 2024 so far, earning decent reviews compared to other players.
The 23-year-old will certainly start alongside John Stones in defence against Slovakia on Sunday as the Three Lions look to improve on their dismal performances so far to book a place in the quarterfinals.
However, Guehi accepts his father may not watch him defend his country.

I am the problem - Gareth Southgate takes responsibility for England's woes
England head coach Gareth Southgate has revealed that he is the major problem of the Three Lions at the European Championship.
Guehi says God comes first
Asked if his dad would watch, the footballer replied: "I don’t know. Usually church, God comes first.
"So I would expect him to be at church. But he could turn up I don’t know."
In the past Guehi, 23, has admitted "There were definitely times where I wasn’t able’ to play football on Sundays 'just because God first in my house was the rule."
Guehi will be hoping God is on England's side on Sunday, in a game that could be crucial for the future of manager Gareth Southgate.
The England boss is under immense pressure and could be sacked if the Three Lions fail to reach the final.
