The Super Eagles hopeful could be on the move yet again after only six months with Lyon
Nigerian striker Gift Orban’s spell in France with Olympique Lyon could be set for an abrupt end after just six months in Ligue 1 following interest in the 21-year-old by Champions League-bound Bologna.
Orban eyed as replacement for unsettled Zirkzee
The Serie A side have been impressive under the guidance of Thiago Motta and have secured a spot in the Champions League for the first time in 60 years next season.
As Bologna gears up for their historic Champions League campaign, they are reportedly keeping a close watch on Orban as a potential replacement for Joshua Zirkzee.
The 22-year-old Dutch striker appears set for the exit door at Bologna, with Orban, reportedly identified as a possible replacement.
Orban’s short spell at Lyon
Orban is, however, unlikely to make a move this summer, having joined Lyon only six months ago.
In his short time at Lyon, he has made 16 appearances across all competitions, starting only six matches and scoring three goals for the Ligue 1 side.
Despite his relatively slow start at Lyon, Bologna remain interested in Orban and believe he could be an asset for their Champions League campaign.
