The 20-year-old Gift Orban benched for Gent’s trip to Mechelen in the Jupiler.
Orban was unexpectedly benched for the trip to Mechelen in the Belgian first division on Sunday.
He came on just before the start of the second half but was caged as Mechelen and Gent shared the spoils following a 1-1 draw.
The talented youngster created one chance, made one key pass and attempted two shots on goal in 46 minutes.
Orban is now on his longest drought since has joined the club as he has failed to score in his last three matches across all competitions.
Both goals were scored in the final five minutes of the game with Matisse Samoise breaking the deadlock three minutes before the break.
However, the lead lasted just three minutes before the home side equalised through Dries Wouters.
