Football Kenya Federation Women's Premier League (FKFWPL) side Gaspo Women have rescinded their decision not to honor their clash against champions-elect Vihiga Queens.
The Jacob 'Ghost' Mulee-coached outfit had decided to boycott the clash without disclosing the reasons behind the management's decision.

The Gatundu-South side are no longer challenging for the title after coming close.
“After consultations, we have decided to honor the fixture against Vihiga Queens FC in #FKFWPL match that was scheduled for Saturday, 27th May 2023,” a statement released on the club’s Facebook page read.
Reports swirled all over the internet claiming club chairman Edward Githua had raised concerns with the league organizer about the levels of officiating during their clash against Ulinzi Starlets on Thursday, May 18.

Last Thursday, Githua was quoted by a local publication as claiming that the match referee awarded a ‘dubious ‘penalty to the army side in the dying minute of the encounter.
However, the club will indeed honor their fixture and apologized to everyone involved in supporting the club for “inconveniences caused”.
