Gary Neville still thinks Arsenal will not win the Premier League
Manchester United legend Gary Neville has agreed to do something incredible if his prediction of Arsenal not winning the league does not come to pass.
Neville believes Arsenal will lose steam in title race
Neville had previously predicted that Manchester City and even Manchester United would overtake Arsenal in the Premier League race, and recently reiterated his belief and even backed his prediction by setting up a challenge he must complete if he turns out to be wrong.
Replying to a fan on Twitter who asked if he would shave his head live on TV if Arsenal won the Premier League, Neville came up with something even better.
Gary Neville said that he will wear an Arsenal jersey with the inscription ‘champions’ written on it on the last day of the season if Arsenal defy his predictions and secure the Premier League title.
Arsenal fighting for first title since 2004
Arsenal have not won the Premier League title since 2004 when Neville himself was still a player at Manchester United, but have scarcely come this close to the title since then.
The Gunners are five points clear of Manchester City at the top of the table, and 11 points clear of Manchester United, but still have 13 games to go in the league.
Despite playing some of the best football on display and being favourites to finish top, Neville still believes that Arsenal will falter in the race for the title as they have done on many occasions since their last league title almost two decades ago.
If they do, however, find a way to stay true until the end, Neville risks a huge public humiliation for choosing to side against them.
