Fresh injury for Osimhen
The Lagos-born striker was among the goals when Galatasaray beat Sivasspor to maintain their healthy lead at the top of the Super Lig standings.
He, however, had to be substituted in the 74th minute due to injury. He has since undergone tests, and now, Galatasaray can confirm that he is injured and currently ruled out of action.
“Victor Osimhen underwent an MRI examination which revealed a moderate strain and bleeding in the right posterior upper muscle group. Treatment for our player has been initiated.”
According to Turkish publication Ntvspor, it is estimated that the Nigerian will miss up to two weeks of action. This effectively rules him out of the Europa League clash against Malmo on Thursday and Super Lig matches against Trabzonspor and Kayserispor.
