Thomas has been in a relationship with her partner Spencer McManes since 2022 but the businessman had never put a ring on her finger.
Spencer has now affirmed his love and commitment to the American sprinter after going down on one knee in what Thomas describes as a big surprise.
In what was a romantic surprise planned by Spencer, Thomas walked to the rooftop of an Airbnb the couple had rented before the track season started and found him waiting for her with flowers in his hands as their best friend and photographer waited to capture the memorable moment.

The sprinter followed him on Instagram after liking his content on the social media platform where he did pizza reviews that Thomas liked.
“I'm a huge fan of pizza myself—I was like, ‘This looks like really good quality content'," Thomas says of the encounter. “Almost immediately—he DM'd me,” she adds.
“I got the notification that I had a new follower,” Spencer says of his first encounter with Thomas.
“I was like, ‘That's crazy! Gabby Thomas?’’” he says. “I immediately DM'd her and asked, “What did I do to earn a follow?”
