Arsenal were defeated by Brighton at the Emirate Stadium as they crumbled in their chase for the Premier League title.

The Gunners continue their title charge as they keep the pressure on the league leaders Manchester City who are four points above them. However, their 3-0 loss to Brighton handed over the title to City

The first half of the game ended in a stalemate as both teams were unable to create clear-cut chances. Brighton came into the second half and crushed the Gunner's title hope with three goals from Julio Enciso, Deniz Undez and Pervis Estupinan.

Has it happened

Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta made just one change to his side that defeated Newcastle at Saint James Park last week while De Zerbi made four changes to his side that was thrashed by Everton.

Brighton got the first chance of the game as Aaron Ramsdale makes a brilliant save when Julio Enciso easily weaves through the defence and unleashes a shot from just outside of the box.

Arsenal got a chance of their own as Leandro Trossard creates enough space for himself and fired in a powerful close-range shot, but his effort ricochets off the crossbar. Both teams were unable to open the scoring as the referee blew the halftime whistle.

The second half started with much more intensity from both teams but it was Brighton who opened the game with a goal. Julio Enciso latches on to a brilliant cross and gets his head on the ball to put it low inside the right post.

The second goal came in the 86th minute from a Trossard mistake as Deniz Undav picked up a pass and got to the edge of the box before clipping a brilliant lob over the goalkeeper and into the empty net.

A few minutes later, they got the third goal when Pervis Estupinan fired the rebound inside the right post after the ball broke to him in the box.

This loss crumbles Arsenal's hope of winning the title as they hand Man City the advantage with two games left to play.
