FKFPL: Police rescue AFC Leopards coach Tom Juma from irate mob who wanted his head
AFC Leopards coach Tom Juma, besieged by angry fans, escorted by police after disappointing draw against Kenya Police FC.
Having entered the match without a single league victory in the opening three rounds, Kenya Police’s early-season woes were further compounded by a loss and two draws.
The team's struggles have raised questions about the cohesion within the playing unit and have left fans craving for a taste of victory.
In the clash against AFC Leopards, Police managed to seize an early lead with Kenneth Muguna finding the back of the net in the fifth minute. They however needed a late equaliser from Rashid Toha in the closing stages of the game.
"There might be a problem with the playing unit, and there might be a bigger issue than that. However, what I can assure fans is that this marks the end of draws and disappointing results,” Munga declared.
“Starting next weekend against Bidco, we will field a rejuvenated side, and that's when the league truly begins. You will witness a different side in action,” he added.
Munga is not only focused on addressing the team's performance but also on ensuring that the players remain motivated to give their best.
