The Londoners – who have failed to keep a clean sheet in all 14 of their league home games against City – face a daunting task in stopping the Citizens.

Manchester City visit Fulham, aiming to win and claim the top spot in the Premier League table.

With Fulham’s status in the league next season assured, the main aim for them now is to win as many games as possible in order to finish inside the top half.

In previous seasons, the Cottagers were an inconsistent side, and this saw them in and out of the Premier League, but they have been a different team this season.

However, they look to have been massively affected by the absence of Aleksandar Mitrovic, who was banned for eight games for pushing the referee in a previous FA Cup game against Manchester United. He had scored 11 goals in 21 games for them.

On the other hand, City are hitting top form at a crucial point of the campaign. Their 4-1 win over Arsenal sent a clear message that they are ready to defend the league, and they have won 12 out of their last 13 games in all competitions.

In the reverse fixture against Fulham, they needed a late goal by Erling Haaland to claim all three points.

Team News

Mitrovic is still not available for Fulham as he is still suspended, while Layvin Kurzawa is injured, and Harry Wilson and Willian remain doubtful for this home game.

Meanwhile, Pep Guardiola will be without Nathan Ake. The Dutchman got injured during their Champions League match against Bayern Munich in Germany.

What are the stats saying?

City have won their last 13 games against Fulham in all competitions. Fulham won 3-1 at the Etihad on s against Fulham in all competitions. Fulham won 3-1 at the Etihad on April 12, 2009, but are winless in 15 subsequent league meetings (D3, L12).

Victory would ensure City go top of the league for the first time since February 17. They have won their previous seven top-flight games, their best run since a 12-match streak between November 2021 and January 2022.

Haaland's haul of 33 league goals is a record in a 38-game season and one shy of the highest ever total scored by Andrew Cole (1993–94) and Alan Shearer (1994–95) in 42-match campaigns.

Fulham have lost five of their past seven Premier League games, one more defeat than in their previous 16 fixtures. They have gone eight league matches without keeping a clean sheet, conceding 13 goals.

Manchester City: Ederson, Akanji, Dias, Laporte, Stones, Rodri, Mahrez, Gundogan, De Bruyne, Grealish, Haaland.
