Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi scored a brace to inspire Fulham to a comfortable home win against Brighton and Hove Albion.

Super Eagles midfielder Alex Iwobi delivered a standout performance for Fulham, scoring two crucial goals in their Premier League clash against Brighton & Hove Albion.

The Nigerian playmaker was the hero as the Cottager held off a brave Brighton to register a 3-1 win at Craven Cottager on Thursday night.

Iwobi's first goal came early in the match, benefiting from a misplaced pass by Brighton's goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen. 

The Nigerian international seized the opportunity, calmly slotting the ball into an open net to give Fulham a 1-0 lead.

Just three minutes later, Iwobi was on the verge of doubling his tally when he attempted a shot that was blocked by Igor Julio, showcasing his relentless attacking intent.

As the first half progressed, Fulham continued to press for more goals. Antonee Robinson made a threatening run down the left flank and delivered a cross to Rodrigo Muniz at the back post, but Muniz's header narrowly missed the target.

The half concluded with Iwobi's initial goal being the decisive factor in a tightly contested match.

Brighton responded strongly in the second half, levelling the score with a spectacular goal from Carlos Baleba, who struck from outside the box after a brilliant setup by Joao Pedro. 

Iwobi sealed the win with a late third for Fulham.

This equaliser injected new life into Brighton's game, but Fulham remained undeterred and restored their lead through an own goal in the 79th minute.

In a dramatic finish, Iwobi struck again in the 87th minute to seal the points for the hosts.

Surrounded by defenders, he managed to find space in the box and executed a precise shot into the far bottom corner, restoring Fulham's lead and sending their fans into jubilation. 

This late goal not only secured victory for Fulham but also marked Iwobi’s impressive contribution to the team's campaign this season.
