This season's FUFA Drum will kick off on June 24th, with the eight lowly-ranked teams opening with playoffs.

There will be some exciting match-ups and scores to settle as the FUFA Drum returns in a new format.

Twelve teams will participate in the group stages, which have been decided into four equal pools of three each.

The revamped format has set apart the eight provinces that made the quarterfinals in 2019.

The eight include the four semifinalists, West Nile, Lango, Acholi and Tooro.

The others that were seeded are Bugisu, Buganda, Kampala and Teso.

Revenge

The eight will be joined by four others who will go through playoffs in the first round. The eight for playoffs are; Bunyoro, Sebei, Ankole, Bukedi, Rwenzori, Kigezi, Busoga and Karamoja.

Group A has Teso, Acholi and the winner between Ankole and Bukedi, while B has Lango, Kampala and the winner in the Rwenzori-Kigezi pairing.

Group C will be full of emotions and hunger for revenge as the draws throw Bugisu and West Nile into the same pot. The winner between Busoga and Karamoja Provinces will join the duo.

West Nile ejected Bugisu from the quarterfinal of the maiden edition in 2018 and then Busoga in the semis.

West Nile is the holder after edging Lango Province 3-2 over two legs last year. The new format will see the teams face in a one-off final.
