The Legal Clash
French influencer Mohamed Henni is facing a legal complaint from Kylian Mbappé's legal team regarding the naming of a kebab after the football superstar. Mbappé's lawyer, Delphine Verheyden, sent a formal notice to Henni, accusing him of using Mbappé's name for commercial purposes without prior consent.
The dispute spilt onto social media platforms, with Henni expressing shock at Mbappé's decision to take legal action against him. In a fiery response online, Henni criticised Mbappé for allegedly using his time and resources to target him, emphasising that his intention was humorous and not meant to harm anyone.
His social media rebuttal reads as follows" A player of this level has the time to think about me. He is using his time and money to attack me. I am not hurting anyone, I am a humourist. Are you not embarrassed? Launching a legal complaint for absolutely nothing?”
Culinary Controversy
Notably, Henni's kebab menu features items referencing football personalities, including a dish described as 'Bakery bread, as round as Mbappé’s head.' Henni also pointed out another item named after former Marseille player Payet, suggesting that the response from Mbappé seems disproportionate compared to Payet's lack of objection.
