The former Gor Mahia dynamic midfielder is the current captain of the Cranes after taking the armband on a full-time basis in 2021, following the retirement of Denis Onyango from international football after 16 years of service. Prior to his elevation, Aucho was vice captain.
Auch has helped the East African team to claim top spot in group K with four points from two matches, maintaining unbeaten run in the group after a win over Congo and a draw with South Africa in September.
