Rwandan top-flight side Kiyovu FC have announced the capture of Ugandan goalkeeper Emmanuel Kalyowa.

With Kiyovu, Kalyowa has penned a three-year employment contract that will have him in Kigali at least until 2026.

This comes over a fortnight since the custodian got released by 2022 Uganda Cup winners BUL Football Club.

Kalyowa was unveiled on Saturday at Kiyovu

The 27 year-old has been at BUL for the past two years, having joined them from Kyetume FC at the start of the 2021/22 season.

Previously, Kalyowa has also featured for Uganda Premier League record holders SC Villa and Tooro United.

Meanwhile, Kiyovu is strengthening their ranks ahead of next season where they will also feature in the CAF Confederation Cup.

Their participation on the continent came after they finished second in the 2022/23 campaign with 63 points behind champions APR, who only beat them to the title, courtesy of a superior goal difference.
