The ex-Besiktas player is not happy after Victor Osimhen was on target for Galatasaray in the comfortable win against his former club.

Former Besiktas player Batuhan Karadeniz has not held back in his criticism of Victor Osimhen, calling for the Nigerian striker's immediate departure from Galatasaray.

Karadeniz described Osimhen as "problematic" and detrimental to the Super Lig following the forward's impressive performances for the Lions.

On loan from Napoli after a bizarre transfer saga, Osimhen, 25, has quickly made his mark at Galatasaray, scoring a superb header to secure a 2-1 victory over Karadeniz’s Besiktas.

Despite Osimhen's immediate impact, which includes four goals and two assists in just five matches, Karadeniz expressed concerns about the implications of his presence in Turkey.

His comments reflect a sentiment among some that Osimhen's talent gives giants and rivals Galatasaray an undue advantage in the league.

Osimhen's latest performance has further solidified Galatasaray's position in the league standings, but it seems that not everyone is pleased with his success.

The former Turkey international's remarks have sparked discussions about the challenges and dynamics of having such a high-profile player in the league, especially one who has already demonstrated his ability to change games with decisive contributions.

With just 10 matches into the season and as Osimhen continues to shine at Galatasaray, the debate surrounding his impact on Turkish football is likely to persist.

Meanwhile, Napoli ex-head scout Leonardo Mantovani, who was responsible for identifying Osimhen, recently revealed that he initially thought the Nigerian did not fit their specific striker needs.

While his relationship with the club in Naples has gone sour, the Nigerian has cemented himself as one of the greatest players in Partenopei history after leading them to their first Scudetto title in 33 years.

But per Mantovani, Osimhen was initially thought to be unfit for how they played. However, he eventually circled back for the Nigerian; after then manager Gennaro Gattuso’s play style required a fast centre-forward who could exploit space.
