Bandari are on a four-game winless streak but things might change against Tusker.

Bandari FC coach Ken Odhiambo has challenged his charges to arrest their four-match winless run when the coastal side face off second-placed Tusker FC on January 15 at Kenyatta Stadium, Machakos.

Bandari have mastered three draws and one loss to condemn the team to seventh position in the 18-team league. Their last match of 2024 was a painful 2-0 loss to 13-time KPL champions AFC Leopards but Odhiambo has tipped his charges to up their game and bounce back strongly.

“We know the match against Tusker won't be easy, but we’ve prepared well. Every player must be brave and sharp. With God’s help, we hope to get a win,” Odhiambo told Citizen Digital.

This is Bandari's first match of 2025 and Odhiambo reckons that the break was a welcome boost for his side. One player who has been out injured is back into contention as explained by the coach:  “Injured players like Onjunga are back in the squad after the break."

The former Harambee Stars coach further provided an update on multiple injuries derailing his squad, "Edward Satulo, Robert Onyango, and captain Andrew Juma, are still out with long-term injuries. However, I’m confident we’ll soon have a full squad,” said Odhiambo.

Renovations at the Mbaraki grounds are complete and Odhaimbo said the team will soon embark on hosting their home matches in Mombasa as the team aims to string together a winning run in the second leg in their quest for the coveted KPL title.

“We’re pleased with the improvements made to our home ground, and I’m sure the players are excited and ready to play there,” Odhiambo said before adding, “As a technical bench, we’re looking forward to seeing the playing style we’ve been working on come to life on a better playing surface.”

Ahead of the much, Bandari must be worried Tusker's red-hot striker Ryan Ogam whose hot streak infront of goal has seen him lead the goal-scoring charts. Tusker are second by virtue of an inferior goal difference as moneybacks KCB top the standings.

In another match, Police FC will hope to continue with their recent good run when the law enforcers host Posta Rangers.
