Football Kenya Federation (FKF) will again inspect Bukhungu Stadium following the crowd trouble when Kakamega Homeboyz hosted AFC Leopards last Sunday.
A section of the stadium's perimeter fencing was brought down by angry fans who stormed the pitch and went on the rampage in protest of a refereeing decision when the hosts Homeboyz were leading 1-0.

Responsibility should not belong primarily to the hosts when it came to ensuring stadiums are adequately prepared for security breaches or disruptions.
This was after a shut down in 2013 to allow for renovations to take place and the facility now boasts of an ultra-modern VIP stand which was part of the first phase of renovation.
There is also a modern office block complete with facilities, while the stadium's perimeter is now well-defined with ample parking space.
Bukhungu is currently undergoing the second phase of construction, which is set to be completed in the next two years.
The phase involves building terraces on the C-section connecting the main VIP stand to the rest of the stadium, offices, a gym room, six changing rooms, an area for headcount during emergencies, and a dispensary room.
