Nnaemeka died on his way home after officiating NPFL game.
The President of the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), Gianni Infantino, has commiserated with the Nigeria Football Federation (NFF) over the death of an accredited Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) referee, the late Kingsley Nnaemeka from Abia state.
Late Nnaemeka officiated in the recently concluded NPFL matchday five between Nasarawa United and Plateau United.
The young referee died in a ghastly motor accident on his way back from Kaduna along the Lokoja-Enugu Road.
Nnaemeka is a medical doctor and a member of the Abia State referees council was one of the match officials in charge of Plateau United's 2-1 victory over Nasarawa United in game week 5 of the NPFL.
The 2-1 victory at the Ahmadu Bello Stadium in Kaduna, was the Jos club's second win of the 2023 season, and first at an away ground.

The president of the world body governing football, Infantino, said the death of the referee is tragic.
NRA mourn Eneogwe's death
Recall that the Nigeria Referee Association in a statement on Friday, the NRA said: "With heart filled in sadness, the NRA has received the news of the death of a premier league referee of the Abia State council, Kingsley Nnaemeka Eneogwe who died in a fatal motor accident yesterday on his way back home on Abuja-Kogi Enugu Road after handling a premier league match in Kaduna.
