The post featured a screenshot from the Premier League website's player comparison feature, and displayed Drogba and Yakubu’s total Premier League appearances, goals and assists.
The 41-year-old played 252 Premier League matches across stints with Portsmouth, Middlesbrough, Everton and Blackburn.
He was just five goals shy of the century club, scoring 95 times in the division, a rate of 0.38 per match. He was not so far from Drogba, who, with his 104 goals in 254 matches, had a scoring rate of 0.41 goals per game.
