Fede Valverde has stated in no clearer terms what has to happen for him to leave Real Madrid in the summer.
Real Madrid midfielder Federico Valverde has sent a message to his potential suitors ahead of the summer transfer window.
The 24-year-old Uruguay has been enjoying a spell at the Santiago Bernabeu since breaking into the team’s starting XI in the 2019-20 season following the return of club legend Zinedine Zidane.
Valverde has been touted as one of the midfielders destined to lead the Los Blancos midfield as the old guards, Luka Modric and Toni Kroos continue to age.
The midfielder has recently spoken about his future amid serious interest from big clubs in Europe.
Fede Valverde gives condition to leave Real Madrid
Speaking about his future with the club, Valverde revealed the only condition that will make him stop wearing the colours of Madrid having been linked with a move to Premier league clubs like Manchester United, Liverpool and current league leaders Arsenal.
“If they want me out (of Real Madrid)… they will have to kill me”. Valverde said.
The Uruguayan star is widely regarded as one of the best young midfielders in LaLiga and is once again performing for the defending champions this season.
Valverde has made 24 appearances for Los Blancos in the league, netting seven times and creating two assists in that period.
The talented midfielder is known for his clutch moments as well as his versatility, pace, stamina, work rate, and ability to play in deeper roles as well as on the right wings, either as a right winger or right back.
'Real Madrid hasta el final' documentary
Real Madrid will be part of a documentary for Apple TV, where their path to their 15th Champions League title, which they won in the 2021-22 season.
The documentary will be on the Apple TV Plus (or Apple TV+) which premiered on Friday, March 10, 2023 worldwide will review the club’s double triumph in the 2021/22 campaign.
In the trailer that was published on social networks, the documentary will be covering the Champions League all-time specialists and feature interviews with club icons past and present including Karim Benzema, Luka Madrid, and Marcelo.
English football icon and former Galacticos star David Beckham is also featured as a guide in the documentary while defining what was his team as "a family capable of doing things that nobody can do".
This trailer also shows part of what happened on the pitch in the 2021-22 season, where the merengue team needed to overcome several elite clubs in Europe, to return to the final of the Champions League.
