Uganda Cranes has struggled for goals in the 2023 qualifiers of the Africa Cup of Nations, scoring just twice in four games.

Head coach Milutin 'Micho' Sredojevic's charges face an uphill task against heavyweights Algeria to try and redeem themselves, especially in terms of getting the goals.

The two face-off at the Japoma Stadium in Douala, Cameroon, and Cranes forward Fahad Bayo is confident of making ahead of Sunday.

"It is not easy for strikers. The job is to score goals, if I don't score it hits me," Bayo said in an interview with FUFA media.

"But I remain mentally strong. I will score goals. It's all about keeping the faith and more hard work," the lanky striker added.

In the qualifiers, the MFK Vyskov star is yet to score a goal with the two Cranes goals coming from Vipers SC's Milton Karisa and KCCA FC's Rogers Mato.
