The former Super Eagles boss Finidi George has set his sights on securing a continental ticket at Rivers United for the upcoming season but believes it will be difficult.
Finidi George has revealed ambitious plans to secure a continental ticket for Rivers United in his first season as manager after leaving the Super Eagles.
The 53-year-old was unveiled as the technical manager of the Nigerian club on Friday, marking a homecoming for the Port Harcourt-born former Super Eagles boss.

Speaking after his media unveiling in Port Harcourt, Finish stated the objectives handed to him by his new employers, declaring:
'For me, coming to Rivers United at this point is to get the job done, and hopefully the fans will appreciate what we want to do.'
Finidi George on Rivers United targets
The former Ajax winger, who resigned from his role with the Nigerian national team late last month, acknowledged the pressure that comes with managing a big club like Rivers United.
If we keep winning, I think everyone will be happy. If you talk about targets for a big team like Rivers United, it's all about winning, which we'll try,' he said.
However, George was realistic about the challenges that lie ahead, admitting: 'You know football is not easy. We all want results, but we have to work towards it.'
Nevertheless, the new Rivers United boss was bullish about his side's chances of securing a continental ticket this season.
'The target set is for Rivers United to perform and at least get the continental ticket this season. So, it's a difficult task, but we are capable and will try our best to achieve that,' he stated.
George's return to his hometown club has generated significant excitement among the Rivers United faithful, who are keen to see their new manager deliver on his ambitious targets.
With the new season fast approaching, all eyes will be on Finidi George and his team as they embark on their quest for glory in the NPFL.
