Everton are close to completing a loan move for Dutch international Arnaut Danjuma from Villarreal.
Everton have agreed a deal to sign Dutch forward Arnaut Danjuma on loan from Villarreal till the end of the season.
Danjuma reportedly had offers from multiple Premier League clubs with Nottingham Forest and his former club Bournemouth interested but he opted for Everton.
The 25-year-old is now said to be in Merseyside undergoing his medical ahead of the loan move which does not include an option to buy.
Danjuma to Everton here we go!
Acclaimed football journalist and transfer guru Fabrizio Romano confirmed that an agreement had been reached between Everton and Villarreal for the signing of Danjuma with the magic words, ‘Here we go.’
That would make Danjuma the first signing of the winter transfer window for Everton as Frank Lampard aims to steer his team away from the relegation waters.
Lampard said on Friday, "We absolutely want to help the squad and make it stronger. I'm aware everyone's trying to do the same thing and teams around us are. We know we need more competition, maybe a more clinical nature about us. That's a reality we have to understand."
Everton have only managed 15 goals in 19 Premier League games this season and will be hoping Danjuma can help fix that having scored six goals already this season despite no longer being a regular for Villarreal.
The Dutch winger did score 16 goals in 34 games as a regular starter for Villarreal last season, including six n the Champions League.
He will join the Toffees with Premier League experience having previously played for Bournemouth in the 2019/20 season and then the following season in the English Championship.
