Former Leeds manager Marcelo Bielsa has emerged as Everton's top managerial target
Marcelo Bielsa is wanted by Everton owner Farhad Moshiri as the club work to replace Frank Lampard who was sacked on Monday.
Everton considering managerial options
The Toffees sacked Frank Lampard on Monday after going over three months without a win, and they are only above bottom-placed Southampton on goal difference.

Everton have been considering a number of options to succeed Lampard, according to Sky Sports and those include Sean Dyche, Wayne Rooney, Duncan Ferguson, Nuno Espirito Santo, and former Valencia boss Marcelino.
Bielsa is a top target for Everton
However, intermediaries were quick to open talks with Everton about hiring Bielsa, and he's now seen as the preferred candidate to prolong their 69-year stay in England's top flight.
The Argentine was in talks to succeed Scott Parker as Bournemouth manager before the World Cup, but the role was ultimately given to caretaker boss Gary O'Neil instead

The 67-year-old has been cited by colleagues, including Pep Guardiola and Mauricio Pochettino, as one of the world's best coaches, and has been credited with the success of a number of Leeds players, including Patrick Bamford and England midfielder Kalvin Phillips.
