Former Super Eagles winger Finidi George has reacted to the performance of his Enyimba side in the Naija Super 8 clash against Heartland.

Enyimba International manager Finidi George is not a happy man despite leading his team to another win in the domestic scene.

George watched as his Enyimba boys went, saw, and conquered neighbours Heartland FC 1-0 in the oriental derby at the Naija Super 6.

Enyimba are unbeaten in 11 matches across competitions.

Murphy Ndukwu was the hero and star for the People’s Elephant after he scored the decisive winner in the first half to give Enyimba the win.

The win over Heartland saw Enyimba scale through the playoffs to the final of the Naija Super 8 slated for Lagos next month.

However, while their boss was relieved to book a ticket to the final, he was not satisfied with the performance of his Elephants.

Enyimba's coach Finidi George wants to see his side win with more panache.

According to the former Real Betis and Ajax Amsterdam star, his Aba Millionaires were lucky to go past the Imo side.

“We knew it would be difficult,” Finidi said according to a post from Naija Super 8 on Twitter.

“Happy we won but not happy the way we played, especially in the second half,” the Enyimba boss added.

“Overall, we had chances to score a second goal, but I am not happy about the play. We were lucky they didn't get an equaliser.”

NPFL champions extend unbeaten run

Meanwhile, as reported by Pulse Sports Nigeria, Finidi’s Enyimba are on a roll and look unstoppable at the moment.

The People’s Elephant have now gone 11 matches without defeat after a hard-fought battle against Heartland.

Enyimba, who recently sealed a historic ninth title in the NPFL after their impressive win in the Super 6, have won seven and drawn of their last 11 matches across all competitions.

The Abia side last dropped three points back in April in a narrow 1-0 defeat to Akwa United in an NPFL encounter.
