El Clasico: 'They said we only beat small teams' — Yamal fires back at 'haters' after destroying Real Madrid
Lamine Yamal had a message for Barcelona's detractors following the 4-0 victory over Real Madrid.
What happened
After a stiffly contested first-half, the second 45 served goals, but only from one team. Lewandowski's near-quick fire double just before the hour mark put Barcelona in the driving seat before Lamine Yamal put some assuredness in the scoreline with his right foot riffle in the 77th minute.
Raphinha’s well-timed movement and subsequent lob in the 84th minute effectively ended the match as a contest and led to heightened emotions on both benches.
Following the celebration of the goal, Ancelotti was seen speaking sternly to Flick, visibly complaining about something, while the Barcelona boss made an effort to placate him.
What Ancelotti said
Speaking about the game, the former AC Milan manager explained that a member of Barcelona's coaching staff had encroached on their area in wild celebration; hence, his reaction.
"[The problem] was with the assistant, not with Flick," Ancelotti said in his postgame news conference when asked to clear up what had happened. "The assistant was not a gentleman with the way he celebrated in front of bench. And Flick agreed with us."
