The Eagles are looking to bolster their attack following the departure of Olise to Bayern and potential interest in Eberechi Eze as well, adding another attacking option has become a priority for manager Oliver Glasner.
Sarr, who previously impressed in the Premier League with Watford, has emerged as a target for Palace.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Marseille rejected the South London club’s initial approach but negotiations are still ongoing for the 26-year-old.
The Senegal international is reportedly keen to return to the English top division, having departed Watford for Marseille in a £15 million deal last summer, and the Ligue 1 side are likely seeking to recoup their investment.
Sarr played 35 times in all competitions for Marseille last season, notching three goals in Ligue 1 and finding the net twice in 10 Europa League matches while assisting six times across all competitions.
What comes next?
It remains to be seen if Palace up their bid for Sarr, but the Eagles may be pushed to intensify their interest in the Senegal star due to seeming interest in England's Euro 2024 midfield man Eze.
