The Algerian got himself on the scoresheet, finding the back of the net in the second minute to mark a dream start for The Wanderers.

Things got bad for Spurs after Djed Spence diverted a teasing cross into his own net to make it 2-0 in favor of Wolves in the 38th minute.

The result allowed a breathing space for Wolves who were happy to head into halftime with a 2-0 lead.

Tottenham made a raft of changes early on in the second half with Pape Matar Sarr being replaced by Lucas Bergvall and Yves Bissouma paved way for Rodrigo Bentuncur.

Mathys Tel pulled one back for Spurs in the 59th minute but Jorgen Strand Larsen made it 3-1 in the 64th minute.

Goals continued to pour at the Molineux as Brazilian Richarlison made it 3-2 in the 85th minute to instill hopes of comeback.

However their hopes were dashed as Arsenal target Matheus Cuhna scored in the 86th minute to make it 4-2 and seal the victory in the process for Wolves.

Elsewhere, Liverpool inched closer to winning the title after beating West Ham 2-1 at Anfield. Luis Dias and Van Dijk scored for the Reds after Andrew Robertson had scored an own goal for West Ham.

In another match, Chelsea's top four chances suffered a blow after coming from two goals down to draw 2-2 against Ipswitch Town at Stamford Bridge.

Julio Ensico and Ben Johnson scored for Ipswich while Axel Tuanzebe own goal and a Jadon Sancho strike saw the Blues level.
